We are so thrilled to announce the birth of Hula’s Frenchie babies (co-owned with Blue Ribbon) on Tuesday June 12, 2018 around 9 am. It was a long night of keeping tabs on Miss Hula after her showing signs of early labor Monday the 11th. Here was Miss Hula the night before she went into labor:
Granted not the most flattering photo of her but I like to document the journey & I feel her pain, having 7 human pups of my own. Poor girl looks exhausted, and rightfully so, can you believe there are 5 adorable french bulldog puppies in there waiting to be born the next morning!? At least pretty girl held out until normal business hours so our Veterinarian didn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to tend to her pending arrivals.
The first thing the following morning Elias (#4) and I rushed her into the vet to have her babies. We were pleasantly greeted with 4 healthy boys and 1 healthy little girl. One of the scariest times for me has always been right when the puppies come out and are sometimes struggling to get going. This is typical because of the anesthesia used to perform the c-section. It never ceases to be a heart-pounding moment for me holding my breath until the littles take theirs.
She has 4 gorgeous boys in varying shades of fawn and 1 beautiful blue girl. We look forward to watching these frenchie puppies grow and welcome you to follow along with us.
